Feminism and Sexuality Photos
Here are some photos from our first symposium, Feminism and Sexuality. You can click on the thumbnails to view the larger pictures. Thank you to Patrick for providing us with these!
The Honors Humanities Gender Caucus is a collective of students, faculty and staff committed to addressing issues of gender inequality and raising awareness of gender-based discrimination and oppression. Though based in the Honors Humanities Program, the Gender Caucus is inclusive of members and participants from throughout the University of Maryland community. The Gender Caucus is dedicated primarily to scholarship and activism on gender issues, recognizing that gender shapes the lives of all people, regardless of sex or gender identification. Through many critical feminist lenses, the Gender Caucus designs and supports co-curricular programming that investigates the complex ways in which gender is shaped by intersecting dimensions of difference, namely race, sexuality, ethnicity, ability, religion, age and nation, among others.
I am a Chinese-American Myers-Briggs INTJ currently studying in the United States. My interests lie in electrical engineering, specifically signals processing and communications, as well as applications of game theory in political economics. I also pursue studies in philosophy and literature in my free time. As an aspiring polymath, I believe one cannot truly become a global citizen without first becoming proficient in a number of interdisciplinary studies outside one's own area of expertise. To that end, I am always seeking knowledge, and always in pursuit of a higher Platonic ideal.
