New Co-sponsor

Please give a warm welcome to the Consortium on Race, Gender, and Ethnicity (CRGE) at the University of Maryland, founded by Dr. Bonnie Thornton Dill and currently directed by Dr. Ruth Zambrana. Dr. Amy McLaughlin, the Associate Director, is working closely with us to organize the colloquium. They will be co-sponsoring all of our events and helping us publicize the series as the semester goes on.

Honors Humanities

The Honors Humanities Gender Caucus is a collective of students, faculty and staff committed to addressing issues of gender inequality and raising awareness of gender-based discrimination and oppression. Though based in the Honors Humanities Program, the Gender Caucus is inclusive of members and participants from throughout the University of Maryland community. The Gender Caucus is dedicated primarily to scholarship and activism on gender issues, recognizing that gender shapes the lives of all people, regardless of sex or gender identification. Through many critical feminist lenses, the Gender Caucus designs and supports co-curricular programming that investigates the complex ways in which gender is shaped by intersecting dimensions of difference, namely race, sexuality, ethnicity, ability, religion, age and nation, among others.
